Seattle Beauty™ Tip: Astringent mask for oily skin

Excess oil production leads to many common skin issues including blotchy skin, acne and black heads. Here is an herbal infused astringent for managing oily skin. This recipe can be used as a skin treatment mask, especially for the acne prone skin. Mix witch hazel leaves 15 grams, Food grade gelatin 3 grams, whole Wheat flour 15g, Lemon peel powder 8 g, and horse chestnut 100 g. Dilute every 10 g of the above mixture with 20 to 30 g of water. Pulverize the mixture with a blender to make a paste with a soft consistency. Clean face with warm water, pad dry.  Then liberally spread the paste over the face, avoiding the eye area.  Sit back and relax until the mask is about half dry.  Wash off with warm water, splash the face with cold water and pat dry.
